The Village of Shawnee Hills, like many Ohio communities, has a municipal income tax. In 1994, the Village contracted with the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) through a Regional Council of Governments, to administer the collection of the income tax. R.I.T.A. is a public organization established in 1971 under section 167 of the Ohio Revised Code that currently serves 139 municipalities throughout Ohio. R.I.T.A. offers a variety of services to residents and businesses in the Village. Whether it is online, in person, or over the phone, all services are free. Effective with the March 2023 billing cycle the following Sanitary Sewer Rates will be effective:

Usage Charges (SW) - A flat fee of $17.27 + $0.832 for every one hundred gallons of water used (as read and recorded by Del-Co Water Co.) 

Debt Service (DT) – A flat fee of $18.90. 

Clean River (CL) – A fee of $3.39 ERU. (Equivalent Residential Unit of 2,000 square feet of impervious surface).
